Tattnall Volleyball advances to the State Playoffs with win over MDS

Tattnall Square Academy Volleyball has qualified for the State Playoffs for the first time in program history with a win against Mount de Sales in the play-in game of the Region 1A-Private tournament at FPD.

The Lady Trojans then played the #1 seed and #3 seed, losing both matches 0-2.

Tattnall is proud of its girls and their accomplishments and celebrates its inaugural appearance in the GHSA Single A-Private State Playoffs.

Highlights:

The Lady Trojans pushed MDS to a 3rd set to take a huge WIN to advance to the Top 4 in our Region. The GHSA State Playoffs are set to be played Tuesday 10/19 or Wed 10/20.  The time & location are TBD.  Tattnall will play the #1 Seed from Region 3A-Private.

Against MDS:
TSA had 9 team ace serves, split evenly between. Emma Kelley #33, Brynn Scott #3, Destiny Neal #13, and Taylor Adams #23.

19 kills:
Rionna Byrd #1 led Tattnall with 5.
Destiny Neal #13 and Carlie Epps #12 both had 3 kills each, and the rest were spread among Makayla Bramlett #7, Emma Kelley #33, Brynn Scott #3, and Kennedy Walton #5.

Destiny Neal #13 shut down the net with 4 solo blocks.

Against Stratford:
Tattnall had 7 ace team serves split between Carlie Epps #12, Destiny Neal #13, Taylor Fink #4, and Brynn Scott #3.

11 Team kills :
Rionna Byrd #1 led with 5. Destiny Neal #13 and Taylor Fink #4 each had 2, and Carlie Epps #12 and Kennedy Walton #5 each posted 1.

7 solo blocks:
Destiny Neal #13 and Rionna Byrd #1 each had 3 and Carlie Epps #12 had 1.
